Being courageous is the choice to confront a challenging situation, and it is something that requires bravery, determination, and a strong will. I am a shy kid by nature, which makes me hesitant to try new things because they can appear challenging. However, l have learned to be courageous and face my challenges instead of ignoring them, which has changed my life because it helps me become a better person by pushing myself to become a better version of myself.

One of my biggest problems I face is that I have a difficult time trying new things, especially if they are unpleasant or difficult. For example, I’ve always wanted to start a YouTube channel so I could share my talents with the world. However, I was scared to face this daunting task because starting and maintaining a successful YouTube channel was not an easy task. Despite the overwhelming difficulty that starting a YouTube channel presented, I decided to be courageous and start one anyway, even though I had no experience in making videos. After all, being courageous means to push yourself to try new things, even if you’re not good at it, because it will eventually lead to a better version of yourself.

Because I made the bold choice to be courageous, I was able to find success on YouTube. As of now, I have nearly 12,000 subscribers and I have even monetized my videos and earned real money from YouTube. If I didn’t make the choice to be courageous, I would have never been able to achieve the success I have today. But more importantly, being courageous set me on a path that would lead me to become a better version of myself. I learned a lot of great things along the journey of becoming a successful YouTuber, including knowing how to edit videos, engaging with an audience, how to market, but most importantly, building the social skills to communicate with a broader community. I was able to find likeminded people who shared my interests, and this allowed me to overcome my isolation faced during the COVID pandemic.

For these reasons, I am glad to be courageous. Being courageous has shaped my life in ways that I could never have imagined and it set me up with the experiences I needed to become a successful member of society.
