Courage

Every Military child possesses this one special character trait.  One may ask, what is this trait, courage?   Military children possess this character trait, even without being a Military child, everyone had to have courage in their life. One may ask, What is courage anyway? Courage means, The heart as the seat of emotions, affections, attitudes, and volition. I think every child who serves in the Military has to have courage, for example . . . if you’re a Military child sometimes you would have to move, leaving all of your friends, and teachers, even the things you love about the school! I think you have to have courage to do those things, even if it’s hard, life is like mountains and valleys; you will always have your ups and downs. . . just keep going.

As a Military child, I think everyone who served or is serving as a military child has to have courage in their life, even without being a military child! A time where I had courage was when I spoke up . . . when i was younger, I would let people talk about me and say things about me or just make plans without asking me if it was okay. I didn’t have the courage to speak up until one day when people decided to use me for work, i used my voice and said, “No thank you.’’ Some others may think such a little sentence is not a very big deal. But to me it is, I used my voice to speak up.

Courage is always with us, even if you are not a military child. As a military child, I always have to display courage in order to move on with my military life.  All military children always need courage in their life, all military children are like the petals of a dandelion, we fly from one place to another. As a military child I believe courage is a very important trait that I use each day of my life.
